Observing 9/11 on the 20th anniversary

The American Legion held a ceremony at Legion Park this morning, to lower the flag to half-mast, and to display a flag bearing the names of those who died in the attacks. The mayor and town council were in attendance, as were representatives at the state and county level, as well as members of the community.

White flag with fifty stars on a blue canton, like the US flag, but with names of 9/11 victims as the stripes, alternating red and blue. Bottom reads “Flag of Honor (TM). This flag is created from the names of those who perished in the terrorist attacks. Now and forever it represents their immortality. We shall never forget them.”
