Resolution In Support of Black Lives
The Resolution pledged to create an independent police complaints board composed of Town residents. The independent police complaints board shall be a separate, apolitical, entity from any group or board currently active in the Town or associated with any Town function. The independent police complaints board’s purpose will be to obtain and forward complaints to the Town of Cheverly Police Department’s Chief of Police for community members who would otherwise not be comfortable submitting their complaints directly.

Cheverly CERT (Community Emergency Response Team): volunteers educated about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trained in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.
